Media Storage — StudioM Platform Guide¶
Who this guide is for: Anyone who wants to upload and manage images, videos, and documents for use across the platform. Time to read: Approximately 5 minutes
What Is Media Storage?¶
Media Storage is your platform's built-in file library — a central place to upload and organise images, videos, audio files, and documents that you use across your funnels, emails, social posts, and other content.
Instead of uploading the same logo or image repeatedly every time you need it, upload it once to Media Storage and reuse it anywhere in the platform.
How to Get There¶
Navigate to: Marketing (left sidebar) → Media Storage
Or access it directly while building funnels, emails, or other content — most image upload fields have a "Browse Library" option that opens Media Storage inline.
Supported File Types¶
| Category | File Types |
|---|---|
| Images | JPG, PNG, GIF, SVG, WebP |
| Videos | MP4, MOV, AVI |
| Audio | MP3, WAV, M4A |
| Documents | PDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV |
File size limits: - Images: up to 10 MB per file - Videos: up to 1 GB per file - Documents: up to 50 MB per file
For large video files (course content, webinar recordings), consider hosting on YouTube, Vimeo, or another video platform and embedding via URL instead.
Uploading Files¶
Individual Upload¶
- Go to Marketing → Media Storage
- Click + Upload (or drag and drop files onto the page)
- Select files from your computer
- Files appear in your library immediately
Bulk Upload¶
Drag and drop multiple files at once — they all upload simultaneously.
Organising Your Library¶
Keep your media organised with folders:
Creating Folders¶
- Click + New Folder
- Name the folder (e.g., "Logo and Branding", "Social Posts — Q1 2026", "Product Images")
- Drag files into the folder
Recommended folder structure:
Media Storage/
├── Branding/ (logos, brand colours, headshots)
├── Social Media/ (post graphics, story templates)
├── Email Graphics/ (header images, product photos)
├── Funnel Assets/ (landing page images, backgrounds)
├── Documents/ (PDFs, contracts, guides)
└── Videos/ (promotional clips, tutorials)
Searching and Filtering¶
- Use the search bar to find files by name
- Filter by file type (images only, videos only, etc.)
- Sort by date uploaded, file name, or file size
Using Files Across the Platform¶
Once uploaded, files in Media Storage are available everywhere:
| Where | How to Access |

| Email builder | Insert image → "Choose from library" |
| Social Planner | Create post → "Add Media" → browse library |
| Documents and Contracts | Insert image → browse media storage |
| SMS messages | Attach image → browse library (MMS) |
| Blog posts | Insert image → media library |
Editing Images¶
The platform includes a basic built-in image editor accessible from Media Storage:

| Resize | Change dimensions |
| Rotate/Flip | Adjust orientation |
| Brightness/Contrast | Basic light adjustments |

To edit an image: 1. Click the image in Media Storage 2. Click Edit 3. Make your changes 4. Save as a new file or overwrite the original
For more advanced editing, use a tool like Canva externally and upload the finished image.
Google Drive Integration¶

Managing Files¶
Renaming a File¶
- Click the three-dot menu on a file
- Select Rename
- Enter the new name
Use descriptive names — searching for "hero-image-jan-2026.jpg" is much easier than "image_001.jpg".
Moving Files¶
Drag and drop files between folders, or use the three-dot menu → Move to folder.
Deleting Files¶
- Select the file(s) you want to delete
- Click Delete
- Confirm
Important: Deleting a file from Media Storage removes it from the library, but images already embedded in published funnels, emails, or pages will show as broken until you replace them. Always check where a file is used before deleting it.
Copying a File URL¶
Right-click or use the three-dot menu on any file → Copy URL — useful for sharing direct image links or referencing files in custom code elements.
Best Practices¶
- Use consistent naming — include the content type and date: "email-header-may-2026.png" rather than "image.png"
- Organise as you go — upload files directly into the right folder rather than dumping everything in the root and sorting later
- Optimise images before upload — keep image files under 500 KB for web use; large images slow down your funnels and emails. Use tools like TinyPNG or Squoosh to compress without losing visible quality
- Keep SVG logos — always keep your logo as an SVG file; it scales perfectly at any size without pixelating
- Don't store sensitive documents here — Media Storage files can be accessed via a direct URL; don't upload contracts, financial documents, or anything confidential
Common Questions¶
Q: Is there a storage limit? Your storage is managed as part of your StudioM plan. Contact StudioM Support if you're approaching your storage limit or need more space.
Q: Can I share files directly with clients from Media Storage? Media files have direct URLs that can be shared, but for sending documents to clients professionally, use the Documents and Contracts feature instead.
Q: Can I access Media Storage from the mobile app? Yes — the mobile app includes access to Media Storage for viewing and using files. Uploading from mobile depends on the device's sharing capability.
Q: What happens to images if I change a file name after uploading? Renaming a file doesn't break existing links — the file URL stays the same. Only deleting the file would break existing links.
